Rafting in the Minakami region of Gunma is probably the most popular outdoor sports activity. The Tone-river is famous for its world class rapids ranging from a placid grade 2 in the middle of summer, up to a ranging grade 4 during the spring melt and typhoon seasons. A standard half day course covers over 12 kms of whitewater, including 3 main canyons; Suwa Canyon,Minakami Canyon and the most exciting Momiji Canyon.

Tours are arranged for all levels. From the nervous non-swimmers to the go-hard adrenaline junkies. Professional experienced guides from New Zealand,Australia and Japan will ensure an excitement packed day of adventure and relaxation.

Make sure you get up in Spring for the best rafting in Japan. April - June is the Spring melt season, with the river flowing high to produce world class rapids.

Tour starts : 8:45 & 13:00
Tour Duration : Approx. 3 hours ( including lecture & tea time)
Age : 13 years and over (under 16 must have guardians signature)

Family course will be held during 7/1 - 9/30
(Age : 8 years and over with their parents)

What to bring : towel, swimwear and good friends enjoy with.
Band for glasses or water glasses are good for the person wearing glasses.
